View of No.3 low service pumping engine built in 1920 by Worthington Pump and Machinery Corporation. Engine sits on a grating covering the pump pit opening with pump at bottom of the 45’ deep pit. Pit was constructed in the 1921 expansion and joined a similar adjacent pump pit constructed in the original 1887 installation.
