Engineers in 1999 designating McNeill Street
Pumping Station a National Historic Civil
Engineering Landmark. McNeill was in elite
company in 1999, as the only other public works
so recognized were the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
